This event is now fully booked but you can register for the WAIT LIST.
I will inform you nearer the time if you have a place or not. Date: Wednesday 22 February 2011, 6:00pm - 9:00pm. This is a free event. Please arrive at 6:00pm or shortly after, which will give you time to settle in and meet other people. Refreshments will be available. The cafe itself will start at 6:30pm. For those interested we normally go for a drink at a local pub after the event. This is a special event taking place at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI). Admission is by invite only, ODI’s Research and Policy in Development (RAPID) and Climate Change, Environment and Forests (CCEF) programmes, with the Knowledge Management for Development Community (KM4Dev), are holding a Knowledge Café on the evening of Wednesday 22nd February, entitled ‘Climate policy and climate science: an oxymoron?’ This will be the first Knowledge Café to take place at ODI and it would be great if you could be part of the event. The Knowledge Café concept has been developed by David Gurteen, a Knowledge Management consultant, and founder of the Gurteen Knowledge Community. David has been running these successful and innovative events around the world for over ten years. The KCafé is an informal way of bringing a group of people together to have an open, creative conversation on a topic of mutual interest to surface their collective knowledge, to share ideas and insights and to gain a deeper understanding of the subject and the issues involved. This Knowledge Café will take place at the Overseas Development Institute, 111 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JD. Drinks will be available from 6.00pm with an opportunity to network with other guests and we will start at 6.30pm promptly with a short introduction from David Gurteen and Dr Tom Mitchell, Head of Climate Change, Environment and Forests at ODI. The Cafe is scheduled to finish by 9.00pm. There is limited space at the venue and so places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. You will receive an email confirming if you have a place or not.
