I have more members of the Gurteen Knowledge Community in South Korea than either France or Germany. This surprised me until I came across an article in the Korea Herald. This is how it starts:
Just a decade ago, the dominating corporate virtue in the workplace in Korea was working hard, hard and hard. The trouble was that seniors would not pass their accumulated knowledge on to their juniors, co-workers rarely shared tips on their critical missions and top managers did not have any idea about "knowledge management."
What a difference a decade has made. Korea is now at the forefront of adopting and embracing knowledge management in a bid to upgrade the country's competitiveness and position itself as an open, efficient business hub in Northeast Asia.
