Just a decade ago, the dominating corporate virtue in the workplace in Korea was working hard, hard and hard. The trouble was that seniors would not pass their accumulated knowledge on to their juniors, co-workers rarely shared tips on their critical missions and top managers did not have any idea about "knowledge management."

What a difference a decade has made. Korea is now at the forefront of adopting and embracing knowledge management in a bid to upgrade the country's competitiveness and position itself as an open, efficient business hub in Northeast Asia.

This video was taken at KM Egypt in September 2010 where I was invited to run a Knowledge Cafe.

It is probably one of the best videos that not only describes my Knowledge Cafes but where you also get to see it in action and hear some of the insights from the people taking part.

Note: the room and the tables are not the ideal setting for a Knowledge Cafe nor is the reporting back process but often the Cafe needs to be adapted to fit the room and the number of participants.
