A meme is a self-spreading thought, idea, attitude, belief, or other brain-stored item of learned culture. Or a meme is a unit of cultural transmission that propagates from mind to mind conveying a meaning in the process; a meaning that may mutate each time it is transmitted but one that is captured and remembered.
