If land is the main resource in an agricultural economy, then natural resources like iron ore, coal and even labor are the main resources in an industrial economy. For a knowledge economy, the highest priority is placed on knowledge-creation.
The South Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) is responsible for fostering traditional industrial structures as well as developing new growth engines that are at the cutting edge of industrial innovation.
