Starting a Knowledge Cafe

People often ask me how they can start to run their own regular conversational or knowledge cafe and until recently I did not have a comprehensive answer but now I do. If you are interested in starting a cafe - you have a few options:

Just go ahead and start one. I do not have any claim over the cafe process and you are free to take the concept and use it to run a cafe in any way that you wish. Note my Gurteen Knowledge Cafe process is a little different from some of the other processes that you may come across such as the World Cafe but as a process you are still free to take it, adapt it and use it to youyr purposes.

You can draw on my material as long as you do not infringe on my copyright in anyway by republishing that material but as most of my material is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial Licence - you may use it as long as the material is used for noncommercial purposes and you attribute it to me.
Alternatively, before starting, you may like to attend one of my Knowledge Cafe Workshops. Check with me to see when one is next planned in your region.
My regional community cafes such as the ones I run in London, New York and Adelaide are special in that they are global meeting places for members of my community and are run by regional directors for my community that I have selected and appointed.
