Karl Popper was a philosopher. He was born in Vienna in 1902 and died in 1994. From 1937 to 1945 he taught philosophy at the University of New Zealand. He then went on to become the professor of Logic and Scientific method at the London School of Economics from 1949 to 1969. He was knighted in 1965.

I think that this is a mistake. All that is needed is a readiness to learn from one's partner in the discussion, which includes a genuine wish to understand what he intends to say.
