In this book Peck examines his concept of community by relating and describing it in terms of his own philosophy of discipline, love and evil. He then applies these ideas and thoughts to corporate backgrounds. The book works at making us aware of our own destructive patterns such as materialism and self-absorption which have become part of our routine behavior without us even knowing. Peck puts forward a multitude of philosophies (his and others) to help us tackle these problem patterns.
