The Brahma Kumaris is a world spiritual organization that offers an education in human, moral and spiritual values. To help meet the challenge of change, it initiates dialogue and tries to present a fresh vision of the future. It recognizes the intrinsic goodness of people and teaches meditation to help people discover their inner resources and strengths.
I attended a retreat at their Global Retreat Centre at Nuneham Park near Oxford, England some years ago. The main building was once a stately home - it was built in the 18th century and is set in landscaped gardens overlooking the River Thames - a magnificent building in a beautiful setting. I thoroughly enjoyed the week-end - the retreat was thought provoking, I met some interesting people and I had time to reflect on life.
If you have an open mind on religion and spiritual matters and would like to experience a different way of looking at the world - I'd highly recommend this retreat or one of their several other retreats around the world. You will find more information on their website.
Video: BLU Lesson 4: What I learnt as International Czar by David Gurteen
One of six BLU lessons on what I learnt about knowledge management and getting things done in my days as International Czar for Lotus Development by David Gurteen.
In April 2005, BLU, the UK's Business Link University which no longer exists hired Fifty Lessons to produce a series of video stories for them to which I (David Gurteen) was invited to contribute. This is one of those stories.
