A useful article that looks at how weblog entries are created with a product called Conversant. The author Brain Carnell mentions the importance of metadata for pulling like blog entries together. The way it is done with Conversant looks very much like the way I do it with my own site with meta data fields (categories) for such items as people and organization.

Makes me realize that my whole website is blog-ish. I can add a new page to my site on a variety of subjects e.g. a book, a person, a quote, a short article or a link in minutes, no HTML - just simple form filling. And with my meta-data fields the pages are instantly and automatically categorized and grouped together for web display. And of course my site is very personal ... it really is a large blog of sorts ... interesting ....
