This short news item appeared in The Sun (a UK Daily tabloid) on July 2nd:
SAD CAFÉ
Britts were dubbed SAD - stuck at desk - by a poll that found 70 percent eat in the office.
Not only do I find this sad but its also a bad use of time. As knowledge workers we should be taking the opportunity to have lunch with other knowledge workers - maybe ones that we don't normally get to talk with during the working day. Having lunch is a huge opportunity to have interesting conversations with people - to get a different perspective on what is going on in our business lives and to form and build new relationships and alliances.
