Technorati is a search engine for searching blogs. I subscribe to it to help publicize my website and weblog. It has some useful widgets. Here is one of them:
It is not clear how Technorati indexes weblogs. On my site it uses my RSS feed to do its indexing. This makes sense as it is highly efficient.
Technorati seems to only index my site once I have pinged it.
At one time to ensure new postings are indexed, I pinged Technorati after my RSS Feed update agent had run. But now that I process all my feeds through FeedBurner, FeedBurner does this automatically for me.
