The MWB Business Exchange Centre in Victoria is located at the junction of Greycoat Place (not Greycoat Street.) and Rochester Row just off Victoria Street. It is between the Fresco Coffee Shop and the Fire Station, opposite Greycoat Girls’ School. The building is a 6 minute walk of both St. James' s Park and Victoria stations giving easy access to the District, Circle and Victoria underground lines.

You will find a map towards the bottom of this page.

On the Wednesday and Thursday 1st and 2nd October, I am chairing a UNICOM Seminars conference titled Web 2.0: Practical Applications for Business Benefit and on the Tuesday September 30th I am running a pre-conference workshop: The Effective Knowledge Worker.

As an extension of these two events UNICOM have kindly agreed to host a knowledge cafe on the evening of the first day.

Do come along to the Cafe - as ever it is free but take a look at the UNICOM events also - these are two very popular events and this is the fifth time we have run them together over the last 2 years, Cafe and all!
Theme: Could you stop using e-mail?
What would happen if we would all stop making heavy use of e-mail and re-purpose it to collaborate and share knowledge with our peers and instead make much heavier use of social computing tools to share that same knowledge & expertise with others?

Still think e-mail is a good and productive "collaboration" tool? Can you spot the differences between communication & collaboration? In his talk Luis will cover how he has moved away from corporate e-mail for over six months (and for good!) and embraced social software instead for all of his daily interactions to be equally productive, if not so much more!

So the question: "Do you think you could re-purpose e-mail within your daily flow for at least, 50%+ of your interactions?"

Facilitator: Luis Suarez
Luis Suarez has been working in IBM for over 11 years as a Knowledge Manager and Community Builder and the last five of those years he has been working as well as a Social Computing Evangelist helping various different business units with their rampant adoption of social software within the corporate firewall and beyond.

He is currently working for the IBM Software group where he is leading a community of Social Software Ambassadors helping spread the message on the potential impact that social computing has within the areas of finding experts, finding information and changing the knowledge sharing culture.

He currently maintains three different blogs, one internal and two external (http://elsua.net || http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/elsua), where he gets to talk about Knowledge Sharing, Collaboration, Communities and Social Computing as well as the place where he has lived in for the last four and a half years: Gran Canaria."
