A KM unworkshop is a workshop with a difference. Like the concept of the unconference where the content of the sessions is driven and created by the participants, in an unworkshop the participants determine what is discussed.
The purpose of a KM unworkshop is to bring people together who are responsible in some way for making "knowledge productive" in their organizations in order that they may learn from each other; improve their performance and become more effective in their jobs.
It is not just about learning in the traditional sense but about gaining support and inspiration from each other and building confidence to tackle seemingly insurmountable challenges.
A KM Unworkshop aims to bring together people who:
Are like-minded but from diverse industries
Are looking to share their knowledge
Wish to learn from each other
Would like to support and motivate each other
Are looking for inspiration and who wish to think more imaginatively
Have a burning desire to make a difference in their organizations
The KM unworkshop focuses on the participant’s problems, challenges and needs. It is about 'action' - on getting things done - on 'business outcomes' - on the practical and pragmatic - not the theoretical.
I am an avid networker, coach and educator. I naturally love to help people to 'make their knowledge productive'. If you think I could help, I am more then happy to take the occasional phone call or e-mail or meet for lunch though clearly I charge for more substantial consulting, coaching or other support.
