Amplifying
Our Impact: Strategies for Unleashing the Power of Relationship, The 17th Annual Pegasus Conference
November 5–7, 2007, the Westin Seattle, Seattle, Washington
You are a pioneer. You know that change begins with you. You
have begun to cultivate an inner strength that enables you to risk tough decisions
and bold initiatives. You also know that you cannot do it alone. Your ability
to spark and sustain innovation depends on networks of countless people—in
the offices around you and across the globe—whose actions are inexorably
bound to your own.
How can you engage others in a change process that has real
meaning—and leads to real results? How can you take your local initiative
and amplify it—by ten, a hundred, a million? How can you and your partners
in change hear each other’s voices and capitalize on each other’s
unique perspectives—in pursuit of mutual goals?
Join us in
exploring how we can expand our ability to see key interconnections in our work
and our world, and how we can scale up our own impact through purposeful relationship.
At this conference, you will:
Learn
from accomplished leaders who understand the formidable capacity of purposeful
networks
Acquire
methods for building trust and generating the collective will that is vital
to effective action
Explore
transformational processes such as Theory U, improvisation, scenario planning,
and conversations that matter
Practice
using systems thinking tools and models to make sense of dynamic complexity
Build
momentum for your own initiatives by connecting with a community of passionate
change agents
This year’s featured keynote presenters are:
Peter
Senge, author of The Fifth Discipline and founding chair of the Society for
Organizational Learning
Otto
Scharmer, co-author of Presence and primary architect of Theory U, a process
for facilitating profound innovation and change
Debra
Meyerson, author of Tempered Radicals and an associate professor of education
and organizational behavior at Stanford University
Van Jones,
founder of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in Oakland, California
Peter
Weertman, vice president of Technical Customer Support, along with other innovators
from Boeing's Commercial Aviation operation, who will share the story of their
launch of a state-of-the-art "Ops Center".
Pegasus Conference Tradition:
For 17 years, the Pegasus Conference has been providing an opportunity
for holistic thinkers from all different sectors to learn from each other and
create integrated strategies for personal, group, organizational, and community
development. An impressive line-up of keynote, forum, and concurrent session
presenters each year provide a range of inspiration and practical tools and
knowledge for creating growth and change in complex systems. Participants make
connections that last a lifetime and gain new perspectives on the underlying
structures that shape our successes and stumbles.
