The Gurteen Knowledge Community – David’s network of worldwide thought leaders and change agents has a history of gathering in small groups to explore topics such as business transformation, technological breakthroughs, employee engagement, authenticity, and passion in the workplace. In July 2005, David’s ground-breaking work in Knowledge Cafés debuted in New York City.
The success of this café led to small steering group meetings and an April 2006 Café addressing the challenge and meaningfulness of knowledge, innovation, and emotional engagement in organizations. With interest and momentum growing, the group agreed to convene regularly scheduled Knowledge Cafés beginning Fall 2006. We are appreciative of Perkins Eastman for providing the venue for our 2008 Cafes.
