Theme: What will be the impact of Social Tools on KM?
On the Wednesday and Thursday 5th and 6th March, I am chairing a UNICOM Seminars conference titled Web 2.0 and Beyond and UNICOM have agreed to host a knowledge cafe on the evening of the first day.
Last December, I gave a talk at Online Information on KM goes Social where I talked about the impact of Social Tools on KM and the concept of KM2.0 - social tools after all are personal knowledge sharing tools and put a lot of power to share and manage knowledge in the hands of the individual.
More recently I have run this talk several times in SE Asia for IBM. People have been enthused by the idea and during this Cafe I would like to discuss the concept more broadly and explore the implications for KM and the enterprise. For example, in my weblog, I recently mused that if we are to make Enterprise 2.0 or KM 2.0 a reality we also need Managers 2.0!

On 25th October 2007 I ran a Knowledge Cafe in Sydney. It was hosted by Annalie Killian of AMP on the 25th Floor of their building overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The Cafe was on the theme "What will be the impact of Social Tools within Organizations?" which I co-facilitated with Helen Paige who is regional director of the Gurteen Knowledge Community in Adelaide. About 70 people attended. It was a grat evening.
