I regularly run Gurteen Knowledge Cafes in London and Gurteen Knowledge Cafes are also run in Bristol and Liverpool on my behalf. And from time to time I run one-off events else where when I am travelling around the world. Date Tuesday 4th August 2009 6:00pm - 8:30pm. Please arrive at 6:00pm or shortly after, which will give you time to settle in and meet other people. Refreshments will be available. The cafe itself will start at 6:30pm. Host Nancy Kinder of Cadbury Venue Cadbury Bournville Place Bournville Lane Birmingham B30 2LU Map Directions The cafe will take place in Bournville Place. There is a small amount parking outside on Bournville Lane or there is a visitors car park on Franklin Way, 5 mins walk away. Theme What is the business role of conversation both face to face and virtual and how do we encourage more productive conversations within our organizations? The Gurteen Knowledge Cafe David Gurteen will start the evening by explaining the history of the Cafes; their purpose; their benefits and the process by which they are run. He will then move on to run a knowledge cafe by briefly talking to the theme for the evening and facilitating the session. David has run 100s of knowledge cafes over the last few years and they are really great learning and networking events. Everyone engages with the theme of the cafe and some tremendous insightful, energetic conversations take place. If you can make it - please do come along. You will not be disappointed. Better still the cafe format is one that you can take back with you and use in your own organizations to help create a more innovative culture.
