Or you do not have much time and would simply like to see a multimedia presentation from Verna Allee then click here.
I'd like to introduce you to a good friend and business partner of mine Brad Meyer.
Brad has been coaching the likes of BP (formerly British Petroleum) on their virtual team working, knowledge management and e-Learning initiatives for the last ten as an external consultant. He has a wealth of experience in these areas.
You may have also seen the Dave Snowden CD-ROM masterclasses that I sell on this site. These are multimedia presentations combining video, audio and slide presentations.
It was Brad who with his colleague Jim Hood created these tremendous 'digital knowledge resources'.
Now, in September 2004, Verna Allee was the keynote speaker at one of my conferences on Exploiting Social Networking in Organizations and Brad and I took the opportunity to video her talk. We have now turned that into an online digital resource that you can access for free. As you will see the combination of video, audio, the slides, a textual script and outline that can be paused, forwarded and rewound provides a very powerful learning environment.
But rather than just make it available to you I asked Brad to build a section of his site where he could share with you in some detail how these digital knowledge resources are created - and the benefits they can bring.
As you might imagine, the technology can be put to many different ends and so if you organize in-house workshops; are responsible for ensuring that knowledge is retained and re-used within your company; act as an advisor, coach or consultant to fee-paying clients; are a teacher, lecturer or subject matter expert; if your business makes money from organizing events, conferences, seminars or training courses or if you are just plain curious take a look.
