        Founding director and principal consultant. Architected, designed and implemented Lotus Notes/Domino based Performance Management solutions for clients.

        Lloyd McKenzie & Partners 1993 - 1997

        Director and Principal consultant. Designed and developed Lotus Notes groupware applications for clients.

        Gurteen Associates 1993

        Founded Gurteen Associates in January 1993.

        LOTUS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

        Service & Support Manager, Business Comms Group (UK) 1991 - 1992
        Responsible for implementation of quality service & support plan for Lotus Notes and cc:Mail. Responsible for pre-sales system engineers and technical programmes.

        Developed & introduced new procedures for handling customer queries.
        Provided Customer Services with direct access to technical information - reducing load on system engineers.
        Defined beta test process for Lotus Notes v3 to avoid support problems.
        Introduced Notes based process for assigning system engineers to pre-sales support tasks
        Set up Lotus Business Partner Programme for Lotus Notes & cc:Mail.
        Company spokesperson on technology issues e.g. VIM & the Lotus/IBM Alliance.

        "International Czar" (US) 1988 - 1991
        Assigned to Lotus's US HQ to improve international design of products. Reduced delay in shipment between English & European product language versions of key products from twelve months to same day - bringing forward revenue stream worth several million dollars a quarter. Time savings enabled additional language translations. Revenue from Int'l markets increased from 9% in 1984 to 55% in 1991.

        Developed & documented requirements for creating global products & integrated conformance into development process.
        Liaised with marketing & development groups in US, Dublin, UK, Tokyo & Singapore to ensure requirements met & resources allocated as needed.
        Built & managed a team of five people. Team acknowledged in 1989 Annual Report.
        Conceptualised & managed development of shareable code & software tools for developing global products.
        Provided consultancy & training to developers, QA engineers, and writers
        Introduced Total Quality Management (TQM) into development organisation.

        European Product Manager, International HQ (UK) 1986 - 1988
        Ensured key products could be cost effectively adapted for European market by working closely with US development groups. Introduced Lotus Notes & Lotus Agenda to UK.

        European Development Manager, International HQ (UK) 1983 - 1986
        Managed the localization of 1-2-3 & other products into European languages.

        PRIME COMPUTER RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (UK) 1978 - 1983
        Managed the development of file transfer & e-mail products.

        HAWKER SIDDELEY DYNAMICS, SPACE DIVISION (UK) 1971 - 1978
        Designed, programmed & managed the development of CAD/CAM products.
