The Arabian Knowledge Economy Association, Al-Aghar Strategic Think Tank Group
and Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry will co-organize the first
regional conference on the knowledge economy scheduled for Jan 12 -13, 2008, Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. The conference will be under the patronage of HRH Prince
Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region.
The conference theme of “Building a Knowledge-Based Economy in the Arab World”
will aim at:
Introducing, promoting and applying the appropriate policies and strategies
for building a viable knowledge-based economy
Creating awareness on the knowledge-based economy in the private and public
sectorsLearning from the experience of others countries in preparing their
individuals and enterprises for the knowledge economy era
Networking entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts to discover new
practical approaches for improving and shaping innovation and
entrepreneurship in several industries including education, hydrocarbon,
power and water, environment, health-care and life sciences, information and
communication technologies, and real-estate and tourism.
