As Director of BT's Group Social Policy Team, Adrian Hosford is responsible for co-ordinating BT's combined effort to have as positive an impact on society as possible. This includes BT's community programmes, BT's environmental programme and BT's social responsibility performance (http://www.bt.com/betterworld Previously Adrian ran BT's Millennium Project called FutureTalk, a major BT initiative to help everybody get more from communications in the 21st Century. Adrian's background is in marketing where he was the BT Brand Manager and ran BT's external customer communication programmes worldwide. He was also responsible a few years ago for BT's successful Bob Hoskins-led advertising campaign "Its Good to Talk" that led to the development of an educational programme to help people become better communicators. He joined BT from ICL as part of the new marketing team after privatisation. At ICL he was Worldwide Advertising and Direct Marketing Manager. Adrian's early career was in the advertising business working for DMB&B, McCann Erickson and Ketchum.
