The 2002 Asian MAKE Winners have been announced. They are noted for their world-class efforts in managing knowledge leading to superior performance:
-- Asahi Breweries (Japan) Creating a knowledge-based organization yields big dividends. Profits as a percentage of assets for the 2002 Asian MAKE Finalists and Winners were more than eight times the Asian Top 500 company average. Another key metric for the knowledge economy is Return on Capital Employed (ROCE). The 2002 Asian MAKE Finalists and Winners excel is this area as well. They produced a 36.6% advantage in ROCE compared to the Asian Top 500 company average.
