Knowledge Manager, Government & Public Services
New in! A global professional services firm seek a Knowledge Manager to lead Knowledge Service activities within the Government & Public Services sector practice. In this role you will be responsible for the availability and quality of knowledge assets contained in the firm's global knowledge repositories, responsible for developing content strategies, as well as working to embed knowledge sharing behaviours, KM processes and solutions within the Government & Public Services Network. This is a global role where you will support and have daily contact with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities include:
Understand and be able to articulate the strategic direction and objectives of the Sector
Develop and maintain content strategies, in accordance with the content strategy framework
Serve as a point of contact for the Sector on matters related to KM, knowledge sharing, and collaboration including identifying means to continuously improve knowledge programs and solutions
Establish strong relationships internally to identify KM needs/requirements, measures of success, and obtain full participation in the program
Establish, develop and manage subject matter expert networks, including identifying measures of success and communicate roles and expectations of all parties
Establish, facilitate, and manage collaborative approaches to knowledge sharing using firm-wide tools
Manage content architecture for assigned content areas
Accountable for ensuring that the KM program leverages leading practices, agreed standards, and aligns with firm-wide KM programs
Advise Sector on available research, competitive intelligence and products and services
Develop and deploy training material for new joiners within the Sector
Design, develop, and manage deployment of communications and awareness programs related to KM, knowledge sources and relevant tools
Work as part of the broader knowledge team to ensure consistent, sustainable, and global Knowledge Services solutions are developed
To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field
Knowledge Management solution expertise including collaboration/network design and facilitation
Excellent understanding of content management and content strategy principles
Demonstrable understanding/interest of Government and Public Sector and key issues an advantage
Strong project management skills
Collaborative work style
Able to perform with minimal direction/supervision with proactive work style
Ability to develop requirements based on leadership input
Performance/status reporting
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Well organized with good prioritization/workload management abilities
Strong people management and development skills
Excellent attention to detail
