I agree about balance - you need both presentations and discussion. And different speakers by their nature best serve different purposes. Seems to me though at most conferences that things lean too strongly towards presentation and there is little - often no opportunity for discussion.
And yes even at Unconferences - you need both elements.
I am just trying to swing the balance more equally between discussion and conversation - certainly not replacing 'talks' especially provocative ones such as yours that should make for great discussion!
