Learn how to organise and facilitate Open Space meetings, from one of the pioneers.
Open Space meetings allow diverse and often very large groups of people to get together for a day or longer to discuss issues of heartfelt concern, pool knowledge, share ideas and develop plans for collaborative action.
The meeting is led by a single facilitator, regardless of whether there are 20, 200 or 2,000 participants.
Since its inception in 1985 Open Space Technology has been used throughout the world by a very wide range of organisations and for many different purposes, including community participation, employee engagement, knowledge management, new product development, organisational change, project planning and strategy
implementation.
The Open Space Experience is a rare opportunity for you to spend a day learning the ins and outs of Open Space facilitation, and experiencing a real Open Space meeting. It will be presented by Jack Martin Leith, who was trained by Harrison Owen, inventor of Open Space Technology, and who has been designing, organising and facilitating Open Space meetings since 1988. His long list of Open Space clients includes Cabinet Office, Diageo, European Commission, McCain Foods, NHS, Royal Dutch Shell and University of Brighton.
The cost of the day is £250 plus VAT, which includes ongoing telephone and email support, a copy of Leith’s Guide to Open Space, lunch and refreshments.
The Open Space Experience will be repeated on 6 September 2007.
