The idea behind the 3rd Contactivity event is simple – instead of sitting at an air-conditioned room discussing knowledge management, we will go out and see how knowledge is really created, shared and transferred from generation to generation.
We believe that by visiting a diverse range of communities we can gain deeper insight into concepts of the past and of the future. We will explore traditional communities and knowledge practices created thousands of years ago, as well as methods and approaches emerging in ultra-modern organizations in recent years.
In the morning we will explore communities located in different geographical, social, political and professional parts of Israel, in small groups. In the afternoon we will return to Tel Aviv and share our experiences – using our collective intelligence to create new understandings.
Where: The event will be based at the Centre for Educational Technology (CET) in Tel Aviv and during the two days we plan to visit and explore communities and domains such as: a Bedouin tribe, a Druze village, a kibbutz, a Jewish orthodox community, a start-Up company, a mature Hi-Tech organization, a scientific community, a defense force organization – as the visits will be in small groups, each participant will have the opportunity to visit 2-3 places.
