Welcome to the second of these Knowledge Cafes in Bristol following the very successful launch at the Orange offices. The time is from 6 – 8pm on the 10th May. BAE Systems are very kindly hosting the event and I will send through detailed location instructions nearer the time. It will be essential to sign up for this due to the understandable security at their offices.
I had a wealth of ideas to choose from and on this occasion, following feedback, the topic selected is “are learning and knowledge sharing the same thing?” It will be an exciting subject to explore both in terms of global issues as well as business issues.
As background, in February nearly 30 people gathered together and met with founder David Gurteen www.gurteen.com to launch the first Bristol Knowledge Café. Under David's expert guidance and facilitation, we discussed topics such as business transformation, technology breakthroughs, employee engagement and more. This means that the Bristol Café is now part of the network of over 13,000 people in 145 countries.
What is the Gurteen Knowledge Café?
Gurteen Knowledge Cafés are "learning communities"… their purpose is to bring people together to learn from each other in order to make a difference. They are about networking, knowledge sharing and learning from each other. The outcome for the participants includes takeaways that they can act on and do both differently and immediately!"
