Sparknow is delighted to play host this spring when we welcome Dr. Madelyn Blair and Paul Costello from the Center for Narrative Studies in Washington D.C.. On March 22nd - 23rd they will be running a two day training entitled 'Becoming a Narrative Practitioner' that provides a rare opportunity to learn about and work with some of the many facets of narrative and Appreciative Inquiry when applied to organisations. Participants will take part in lively discussions, practice techniques and explore lessons individually and in groups. To whet your appetite, a small note of introduction from the facilitators:

"The work of Appreciative Inquiry begins in stories - the narratives of people's lives. Those stories contain the ingredients that shape the exploration. Discover for yourself how stories shape us and how to shape the stories.

We live in a sea of stories - from the media, politics, religion, education, and our families and colleagues. Living amidst this wealth does not mean that we understand how these stories work. No one can live legitimately within one story. The stories we tell define our culture. The program explores This programme explores how story works and how to work with stories and our ethical responsibility around the stories we choose to tell."

The full joining instructions are attached including the registration form and travel/ accommodation options for those arriving from far flung corners. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on +44 (0) 20 7250 1202 or write to Stephanie Colton at Sparknow.
