April 17, 2006 72 Fifth Avenue New York, NY If making a difference, taking action, being a change agent, having meaningful conversations, a passion for learning, and valuing diversity matter to you, then this event is highly recommended. I'd like to extend an invitation to the next local meeting of the NYC Knowledge Café on Monday, April 17 from 6 to 8pm at 72 Fifth Avenue (New School), New York City. The NYC Knowledge Café (Gurteen) and The Change Forum (Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy) will co-host this event. Many thanks to the New School and Milano in particular for supporting our efforts. As background, in July of 2005, over 40 people gathered together and met with founder David Gurteen to launch the first New York City Knowledge Café. Under David's expert guidance and facilitation, we discussed topics such as business transformation, technology breakthroughs, employee engagement and more. Over the past year, the New York City Knowledge Café has emerged to become part of a network of over 12,000 people in 138 countries. The April 17th event will be an opportunity to meet with professionals who recognize the power of dialogue and conversation. Membership in the community is free. All that is asked of you is your agreement to receive the free monthly knowledge letter courtesy of David Gurteen. The upcoming April 17th meeting will be another exceptional opportunity to participate in a thought-provoking, energizing event to “to discuss, debate and challenge the "how and the what" of the best ways to engage, adapt, and invent new thinking to stay competitive, innovative and revitalized in today's fast-paced business environment.” What is the Gurteen Knowledge Café? Gurteen Knowledge Cafés are “learning communities”… their purpose is to bring people together to learn from each other in order to make a difference. They are about networking, knowledge sharing and learning from each other. The outcome for the participants includes takeaways that they can act on and do both differently and immediately!” The Change Forum believes that “change is a dynamic process that involves interactive communications among individuals. The Change Forum is a vehicle that encourages change through active dialogue between students, alumni, faculty and practitioners. It provides the opportunity for discussions and programs that create a venue for ideas and practices. Most importantly the ideas are supported so they can grow and thrive.” Due to space limitations, reservations are required. To reserve your space, please reply via email:
