This year, we are pleased to have Mr. Nicolas Gorjestani, former Chief Knowledge and Learning Office of the World Bank to be the keynote speaker. Nicolas will share his views on the intangibles in building a knowledge sharing culture. Following the keynote, the rest of the Conference will be dedicated to a Knowledge Café session at which leading KM organizations will share their experiences with the participants. Hong Kong’s Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) award winners will lead table discussions . The Cafe will be facilitated by Mr. David Gurteen from the UK. David is internationally recognised for his expertise in Knowledge Cafés. The format of this Knowledge café will be for each of the MAKE award winners to have a few minutes to present a brief overview of KM practices in their organization. Following all the introductions, each of the speakers will move to a round table and joined by Conference delegates. The table leader will then have between 30 and 45 minutes to discuss their project in more detail. During the discussion , conference attendees around the table are encouraged to raise questions or add their own experiences. The result can often be a rich conversation where everybody including the MAKE award winner comes away with some new learning and insight. A Coffee break follows, and then a second round of the Café which allows each delegate to hear from 2 of the award winners. We will end the Conference with an excellent lunch provided at the Hotel. Those of you who attended last year’s Conference heard from a team of leading, mainly overseas, KM Speakers. This year we ring the changes, and are organizing a much more participative event, learning the lessons of local KM practice. We look forward to your participation.
